Here I made these 3 short Icon Reveals. Im using different approaches here since the projects were spread out quiet a bit.
The Initial Project was a follow up on a schematic design I made in Photoshop. The basic plan was to emulate the low-poly look of the actual game and animate the result at the ground level as opposed to the birds eye view in-game.
The 2nd one was more of a sandwich project since I needed to create something on the fly, which could be used as either a intro or transitional graphic. I am using the main Father.IO logo.
For my 3rd project I decided to use some live footage from a drone. So i am using Element 3D for my centrepiece and it's actually my first live action composite. Overall I enjoyed this project the most, and the new set of problems it presented to me...
I will spare you the entire breakdown except there was just one eureka moment in this project involving the compass. After a test render I realised I could get more accurate movement on the compass spinner by parenting it's rotational handle to the y orientation of my tracked footage layer. This actually worked but because of so little left right movement in the shot there was hardly any visible movement, so I resorted back to my hand placed keyframes. So in the end I had created a working compass that can be used later on any tracked footage, just line up true north and its good to go.
Thanks for stopping by!
