Two-channel Video Installation, Slit-Scan Effect, Looped Video
Year
2017
Approximately seven million tourists walk through Venice every year.
This video installation wants to bring to the light the energy and the loneliness of living in such a small city controlled by the tourism market.
The clips, using the slit-scan technique, curve the timeline and place themselves in a moving portrait of one of the 435 bridges of the city, highlighting the individual and the crowd that is moving in a separate way and in an uncontaminated union.
