Albers Numbers
Josef Albers (1888-1976) was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
I was fascinated as by his life story, as by his style and influences.
His work represents the transition between traditional European Art and New American Art.
But almost i was intrigued by his use of colors, as each artwork is like an optical chromatic experiment.
Inspired by him, i decided to make 9 chromatic experiments
connected to typography as numbers from 1 to 9.
Obviusly i started from Josef Albers, then i followed my own aesthetic way,
as you can see below.
My intention was to focus on the perception of the color gradients
when colors cross each other (this is why i used plexiglass material),
preserving each minimal number form.
