The main idea of this project was to create a wallpaper design based on any famous historic figures being non-fiction or fiction, based on the theme of super villains and heroes. My professor was pretty lenient on basing the design on heroes/villains, so the idea didn't have to necessarily revolve around direct protagonist/antagonist relationships, like the Joker versus Batman for example. For my concept, I made a homage to the Sex Pistols. Using photographs of Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious that I researched, I transformed them into illustrated versions of themselves on Photoshop CS6 , and played with Johnny Rotten's hair a bit. As for the eye blinding colors of this design, I took inspiration from the bright neon contrasting colors from their album covers. The bright play on colors and representation of the Sex Pistols screams mockery; perfect for the Sex Pistols.
