This piece represents the feelings of anxiety and being trapped. The ring is bulky and awkward to wear, giving the wearer a way to understand anxiety. The cover’s purpose is to hide the cut out in the ring in order to give the illusion of perfection of an enclosed ring. Yet the cutout hides and is trapped inside the ring.
