The Creation Project is a multi-year academic initiative exploring the science, theology, and theories surrounding the origin of the world. The aim of the project is to explore the similarities and differences between scientific, religious and cultural views. The custom lettering treatment within the primary logo for the project was created with reference to engineering graphics, rendered in gold, and overlaid against scenic views of nature—visually representing scientific, cultural, and naturalist views coming together. Because discussion of the origin of the world has typically been cast as a battle between science and religion, a more playful, invitational and decorative approach was applied, framing the event as a place of celebration and dialogue rather than a place where a singular view should prevail.
