Type Design for Magazine Masthead

DESIGN RATIONALE

Inspired by pages of a book, I designed a typeface for the masthead of the Campus magazine. As Campus magazine’s target audience is mainly university students, I wanted to create a typeface that they can relate to. I thought of notebook lines, book pages, bullet points and etc to incorporate them into my typeface. After trying out with few designs, I chose book pages to merge with my typeface design. With the typeface designed, I also designed a magazine cover along with the masthead I have created.
