Mobile Banking app redesign.

Client: RBS Group
December 2014

In 2014 I joined SapientNitro as a Lead UX consultant to work with a team of 3 designers on NatWest / RBS next generation of mobile banking across iOS, Android, Windows Phone and iPad apps.

Project Background:
SapientNitro were engaged to design an approach that would seamlessly integrate its digital strategy with a customer-centric framework to deliver on the customer brand promise of “We are what we do.”

Since 1968, NatWest (part of the RBS Group) has led with great products and skilled channel management. While both capabilities have secured the bank’s market position, executives knew a superior customer experience would be necessary to sustain its leadership in the digital age.

Solution:
The intuitive, secure app helps customers manage their money — from checking their balance to making international payments. The new design is fully driven by user needs, equipping customers with easy-to-use tools to help them integrate the process of achieving their goals with the bank’s full portfolio of offerings.

Process:
Early testing with the use of quick prototypes created on Axure.
Wireframe documentation was used to discuss the app functionality with the developers' team and the tech leads for each platform (iOS, Android and Windows).
Agile delivery - Monetise where also involved on this project to manage the project delivery and manage the bank's in-house teams.
