In addition to my freelancing (and personal) projects, I'm always on the lookout for other ways to get myself out there: contests, collaborative projects, charity stuff.... And at the 'charity' end of the scale is this - a one-off piece of Cosmos artwork (featuring the fine folks from Explorers Inc.) for the New Zealand-based humanitarian group Colour Our story, who have organised an online auction to raise money from the sale of art and design works (paintings, sculptures, graphic design, and everything else) contributed by home-grown creative folks:
My final artwork is a full-colour A3 sized poster (printed on fancy paper, of course), which I will offer up with - bonus! - the original pen-on-paper line art as part of the auction. I thought I'd capture my poster at each stage of its development, so people could see how it has evolved from pencils to inks to the final product (which is an interesting thing to see anyway, I always think). The auction is set to start at the end of this month, so if you want to put in a bid and help out the cause, please do so!
