In early 2016 Make Us Proud began working with Learnerbly - an early stage startup - to create a new platform that helps companies to manage the professional development of their staff.
What was done
We have created a platform which enables employees to explore and review learning resources that have been curated by experts from companies such as Eventbrite, Google, Airbnb and Ideo. Companies can also manage employee learning budgets using tools that track spending and monitor feedback.
Why we did it
Professional training can be challenging. People who desire to progress in their profession - learners - may require help clarifying their learning needs, finding and validating quality of training resources and securing funding from the employer. Trainers - experts that provide courses - can experience difficulties promoting themselves, managing billing and feedback. Sponsors - department managers, startup founders, human resources managers - struggle finding good course providers that would suit specific needs as well as find it difficult to measure course effectiveness.
Learners on-boarding
By prompting users to identify their areas of interest, the platform helps them to find relevant courses easier and faster.
Learners dashboard
The dashboard helps users to keep track of their learning progress, spending and new relevant courses. On top of that, learners are encouraged to review their learning goals and request new courses.
Curated courses
Each course is bundled with detailed description, reviews from peers and industry experts, enabling users to make an informed decision and easily apply.
Sponsor dashboard
An overview of employee's progress accompanied by their feedback provides insight into the effectiveness of the company's learning and development strategy.
Outcome
Following our initial engagement with Learnerbly, the company has moved on to secure £1.6 million seed financing in the summer of 2017.
