Back in 2014 our team at Imagine studio was commissioned to create a new style of packaging, catalogues, booklets and other collateral for Altechna - a company specialising in research and development of lasers and their components.

The packaging at the time was cluttered with superficial graphics and text. The paperboard was too thick and had a rough coating, creating an impression of a product lacking sophistication. Our job was to improve both the visual and tactile qualities of the packaging, without compromising its protective function.

One of the major issues that all of the printed assets were experiencing was a lack of consistency. We've set out to create a simple, holistic and flexible design system, that would strengthen the company's new identity.

To tie everything in, we've also helped to design additional assets, such as business cards and letterheads.
