competition entry
the competition invited artists to illustrate any book of their choice. the moment I captured is the very beginning of the story. I avoided depicting the character - just like in the text, he remains anonymous. instead I concentrated on the physical environment. the image should give the impression of an ordinary life falling apart. the details are arranged in a way to shape a silhouette of a bug.
