Collect coins within the allotted time in each stage to reach the top score. Fast paced music complements the level of tension needed to get all the coins as fast possible within each stage. Will you rush for the gold?

The original concept is relatively simple. I wanted to create a game that rewards skill and labor based on how fast the player can drag the box to collect the coins within the stage. With this project, there was only a week to develop, so I wanted to keep it straightforward. I initially did three layouts with coins randomly placed on the layout. I kept the touch functions that were taught in class and added a timer and scoreboard. Finally, I added a track by Stefan Kartenberg called "Two Minute Warning" on a increased playback speed to give the player an audio feedback of the need to be quick. I was really inspired by those quick mini-games you see in Warioware & Mario Party. The abstract square art I took inspiration from games like Tetris and Puyo Puyo. Please refer to mood board below for an idea behind the design.

Based on the feedback I received, I changed the coins to be more circular, added more randomized layouts, and adjusted the audio. The game is a bit more complete now.
