Jhakas
Short-Intro: A unique & one-of-its-kind cms(content management system) that was started off to make a blog engine on windows but later turned to be a web application and finally re-written into a full blown cms. It started off as an asp.net c# project and now will be re-written fully in php/mysql. The download will not be available till it reaches version beta 1(stable). Jhakas its a content management system. However the people at FSF(Free Software Foundation) & GNU call its category to be a WRS(Website Revision System) as they believe that WRS is the better term for such software. Well if you are human, you just call it by its name Jhakas ;-) and understand that it helps you make websites easily without any special technical/programming/webdesign skills.

Jhakas is a 100% Free ASP.NET Based Content Management System(CMS) created to overcome the shortcomings and defects of existing cms(both free and paid ones) in the market. Its created by Abhishek Jha whom you can reach at www.abhishekjha.net
It all started as an internship project in HCL Career Development Center where Abhishek joined to learn ASP.NET C# to do some solid real-life project where he got the approval and the platform to start researching on cms systems, without which it might not have been possible to think of this project.
Abhishek thought of creating a cms because he already being an independent web consultant had experiences with using existing cms in the market like joomla, wordpress, drupal etc which were all written in PHP/MYSQL but it was tough to find a really good and 100% FREE cms written in ASP.NET and he being a fan of free and opensource software wanted to do something that would bring him fame atleast if not money, so there is where he got the point. He thought of making a new and unique cms which should be good enough to beat not just existing cms' in ASP.NET but also the ones written in php/mysql.
Abhishek first wrote a windows application called Bloggy - a blog making cms in VB.NET during his vb.net classes few months earlier where he designed the interface and planned using the wordpress api or blogspot api to make blogs the faster and easier way. Then since his HCL classes started, he was convinced by his faculty Mr.Manoj that C# was better than VB.NET and since Abhishek already did making web pages before, so he thought to use ASP.NET with C# for this project during his HCL internship. Though, he wanted to use the ideas of bloggy in jhakas, he had to create a new system from scratch in c#.net with asp.net which somehow mimicked bloggy interface it was called typeshell(because all the user would need to do is "type in this system" and this system was like a shell, not a console shell but a gui based shell). This typeshell after lots of thoughts was changed to an os-like interface with x-window like system and finally re-named jhakas(meaning "Excellent" in Hindi).
As of present, jhakas has a interface that you wont find in other cms' , its say easier to use and install than any other asp.net application you ever worked with and is though being stable is still under development process. Its current version is Alpha2 and we hope to make it many times more powerful till its pre-beta release after which it will be available to be downloaded and used by others.

Short-Intro: A search engine like a combo of JustDial like listing features + Bing like search box + Google like indexing and autocomplete with many new features such as my own algorithm for indexing and much more and free listing submissing built on top of ASP.net C# 4.0(converted from the initial 3.5 version by me during import in VS 2010) + AJAX + JQuery and tons of special stuff js frameworks. When I showed this to my college external examiner for a project in .NET platform, he couldn't believe, so I had to challenge him that if he found a similar program anywhere across the globe within 1 month time then I will accept 0 marks in my final year project. Full details and Source code and Test documents to be provided later to anybody who has a good acquisition proposal for it. Still you can see a glimpse of what I have done below.
IndiaPages is a one of a kind unique local search engine. Its based on IRS(Internal Ranking System) which is a new function based algorithm devised by Abhishek Jha and adds many new features like 3-step installer wizard, unique Admin Panel interface, Ranks of Listing based on IRS, Auto-Suggest on Searching with many new features which you don't see elsewhere. Additionally its lightweight,powerful, fast interactive, user- friendly and ins always adding more features. I made this to change the way local search engines work and to add to the competition.
Currently its in Alpha version 2(stable) but is not yet available online. It will launch online once it reaches beta version 1(stable) and funded by some company.

A Single Listing page which shows meaning of Icons and the info showed there by just hovering with your mouse and with comment system and to comment you must be logged in as a user of the site.
Comments on a listing, two types of comments shown here first the Neutral comment in Grey-color box and secondly the Negative comment in Red-color box.
This page shows listing with a Positive comment thats the one in Green-color box. Also in both images you can see page-numbering system to navigate on the same page(for the same listing) between different comments since there can be many comments per page.
This page shows a listing with unlocked comment box because here the user who registered before had logged in to put his comment and vote(of one choice between Positive,Neutral and Negative).There are points associated with these votes too but these do not directly affect the ranking of a listing in this search engine as I said before, the ranking of a listing is calculated on an algorithm called IRS which has many factors in consideration before deciding the ranking of a listing for a particular keyword in a particular scope(city,state,allIndia) of search. The comment taker box also has a limit of 2000 characters like Twitter ;-)
