the challenge: create an A2-sized wrapping paper design based on an animal chosen from the collection of the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at the National University of Singapore
Spiders, of the order Araneae, are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and mouthparts with fangs that can inject venom.
Design rationale:
This design makes use of the unique eye patterns of
the various spider species. A sense of childlikeness is
derived by anthropomorphising the eye patterns - two
pupils in each cluster such that they each look like a
face. The patterns are purposely not labelled here so as
to obtain a sense of mystery.
