When I joined Kappa France's team of shoe designer, I had the opportunity to work on the CMF "color, material and finishes"

For this first model intended for the Intersport distribution channel, I decided to work on the travel theme for the spring-summer collection. After doing the mood board, I was able to start my research of colors and materials in adequacy with my theme.

To show my artistic direction I was able to make an illustration with the pattern that would decorate my proposal.

After selecting my subjects I was able to 
to draw up my specification sheet. Here we have a simplified version of it.

For this model we have twill 1/2 with a print on the collar of the shoe and a rubber sole.

The illustration of the model is an important part of the specification sheet. The drawing illustrates the handwritten part in the technical lexicon.

The sample is the materialization of our design. It allows us to communicate with the client.

For this second version, the acid tonic theme has been chosen and put in image through the trendy board.

Guided by the approach of color, the second step was the research of the material and the setting in scene with this illustration.

2 materials dress the upper of the shoe, the sole is made of rubber.

For this third version intended for the Gosport distribution channel, I was able to work on the conception of a model for the Autumn/Winter collection with a theme of duality of colours.

This Doressu version uses only one material for the upper of the shoe.

For this kappa Doresu version intended for intersport, the theme was the brown product '' using leather with a natural color''.

The advantage of working on an iconic model like the Kappa Doresu is that one can work on creating new iterations of colors and materials to perpetuate the heritage. 

The work of color materials and finishing also called CMF is a work that relies on the artistic sensitivity of the designer who uses his knowledge, experience, tools such as trend books, websites.... By making a synthesis of all his information we can select the materials colors and finishes according to the collection plan set by the head of the shoe department.
