This was a fun and simple project. All it required was a translucent protein powder container, a heat sink, and the electronics to make a flashlight circuit. And just like that we have an electric lantern.
On the outside of the lid is the battery back, and on the battery pack is the battery charging circuit. The toggle light switch is mounted through the lid next to the battery.
The LEDs are mounted to the heat sink with screws and thermal paste. The heat sink is mounted to the inside of the lid with bolts. There is a two ohm resistor lowering the current that goes to the LEDs.
