Roast or Toast
Had the opportunity to work on a fun digital Chinese New Year (CNY) greeting to be sent out to clients and loved ones. During Chinese New Year, most people have to go through the same social situations of being asked questions such as, "When are you getting a boyfriend again?" year after year and tire of thinking of answers. So our insight was to create a greeting that celebrates AND pokes fun at the stereotypical relative one might encounter at a family gathering- an answer befitting of their fowl relatives. As 2017 is the year of the Rooster, my team had a blast with injecting local slang and puns with the greetings.
