foetus flores
My diploma work, entitled "Foetus flores", consists of two 94x150 cm free canvas paintings. The two paintings show the relationship between the fetus and the mother, the fetus and the outside world and the fetal microscopic world as I image. In my interpretation the fabric is a kind of entity, which is, on the one hand, an organic shield that is ever-present, protective and, the symbol of parental love, and on the other hand, a threatening feature, the complications of pregnancy and the potential difficulties of post-natal life. It is suspended without frame, thereby reinforcing the feeling of floating in the womb.
