Phenomenology: Risk

The chance in taking risks.
Why do we talk about risk?

The risk management of individuals directly affects the quality of life of the population of our earth. Everyone is part of a system whose strands extend into different subsystems. Our actions aren´t private matters. Considering the implications of taking risks or not taking risks, the relevance of the issue becomes clear. We describe risk with the help of a six-phase model, which outlines the perception of a risk. It models the results of our research and symbolizes a guide to the awareness of the risk.

In cooperation with: Caroline Scheffler, Jeanette Schmidt

What is risk? How does it feel, how does it taste and how does it smell?
We wanted to find out whether and how risk can be measured and if it is possible to sketch an uniform risk model or is risk characterized by the individuality of the people?

Risk-workshop:
Based on our work we developed and guided a "risk-taking-feeling-dealing with" workshop at the conference of the „German Society for Design Theory and Research“ in 2016.
