Complycare
Complycare is an Online Compliance Manager for the Family Day Care industry. The product is targeted towards auditors from the Family Day Care industry who are responsible for carrying out compliance checks on their carers.

This project highlights some of the website and design material that I made for Complycare.
Complycare Website

The design went through a couple of iterations initially to get the right look and feel for the site. I ended up going with fairly colourful and happy vector illustrations of people using Complycare on their tablet, and avoiding the cliche stock images of stressed out people. The idea was to relax potential users of Complycare and make it feel quite simple and clear to use via positive imagery. View the site here.
Below: Initial sketches for how the site was to be broken up, from sections with basic layouts to how each custom field for the Wordpress backend would be displayed. Custom fields required careful planning to ensure fields corresponded to places that made sense via clear descriptions and expected input.
Above: Hero images for each page were made using simple shapes and flat vectors. Each page had a distinct colour hero background to create a sense of movement from page to page. The lower two are comparitive images for the old way of managing compliance vs the new way. Dulled out colours and a stressed looking compliance manager in a formal suit was ideal to compare to our much more modernly dressed, savvy, and bright compliance manager on the right.
Above: Several screenshots were displayed on tablets and phones to give users a sense of how the software displays on the go. Several icons were created for various parts of the site, the most important being the seven qualities for FDC compliance, shown second from the bottom.
Above: Early mockups of the Complycare website used stock images with colour filters to allow text to be more easily seen. Focus groups felt that this gave some images a very creepy feel (especially the hands) and this was abandoned in favour of colourful and positive imagery.
User Guide & Product Announcement EDMs
Marketing collaterial was often required to announce new Complycare features and help our users make their way around the software. An ambitious cloud layout was made send out as a quick start guide but ended up being far more trouble than it was worth. Later, we switched to a more simple style of email which proved to be just as effective at converting customers as the more complex layout.
Complycare Webinar EDM and landing page workflow
A new project was given to our marketing intern to create a useful webinar series for both potential and existing Complycare users. I assisted by creating an email workflow that would help webinar attendees track their progress through our campaign with a simple set of images showing the path. A landing page was made for attendees to register a time and quickly explain what Complycare was if they were not familiar.
Spring Sale EDM & Landing Page
For the Spring Sale landing & EDM, it was time to freshen up the Complycare brand with spring colours! The image was chosen for its light, happy, and fresh feel, and the colours were modified to suit the palette (the shirt and eyes was a different colour previously). The EDM was made to closely match the layout of the site without compromising readability in common email clients.
Complycare User Guide PDF
Made in InDesign, the user guide was a chance for me to work in unfamiliar territory and create a series of master pages and styles to make updating the guide easier in future. The guide was designed to be distributed via email with the quick start EDM.
Prezi Presentation Loop for ECEC Booth
This was the first project I was given to do at MeshTelco, and probably one of the more fun ones! Our representative at the convention needed a fun and attention seeking graphical presentation made in Prezi for our booth, and so I set about creating a large image that Prezi could move through on a 60 second loop that quickly explained what Complycare was. Below is the full image, and at the bottom is the storyboard and initial sketches for the design.
