I am in a perpetual state of homesickness living away from home, and August seems to be the hardest month after December, because it is when most people start planning their Christmas trips and I start feeling the yearly urge to take a trip home. I was seeking some relief because money is tight, so I decided to make an isometric map of my childhood home. My parents are currently remodeling their home and things will never look the same. This time the structural change of my childhood home will be so big, that I thought I needed to preserve my memories in this map. As I age and I see my family once a year (every two, or three years sometimes) I realize that milestones are structural changes, I am about to turn 30, my parents are remodeling their 23ish-year-old home, it is my 10th anniversary living in the United States- How long until I have to remember what things looked like today?
