In “Eurydice,” playwright Sarah Ruhl reimagines the tragic love story of Orpheus and Eurydice through the eyes of its heroine, who dies too young on her wedding day and travels to the Underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. The play uses contemporary characters but adds plot twists and breathtaking visual effects for a fresh look on the classic story.

“‘Eurydice’ is a wonderfully weird and moving play that explores the connection between love and loss, which is a tie that binds us all together,” said Kato Buss, associate professor and department chair of UCO’s Department of Theatre Arts.
