When I decided to become a freelance illustrator I wanted to create a project that showcased my set of skills and was fun to make. So, as I was in my 20’s and I was talking with my friends about how neither of us knew how to be “adults” and a list of fears came to my mind. I connected these two ideas and decide to make “Adulting Fears” as a project in my instagram account. I would post each day a fear with a text (pretty long now that I think about it) showing how we all are just figuring it out as we go.

This project was a chance for me to experiment with digital illustration, with color, textures and concepts. My idea was to make and interesting, relatable and fun finished project.

This challenge needed a set of rules for me:
· Posting everyday.
· Use a small and fun color palette.
· I have to make objects, not only characters.
· I have to animate some of them too.
· I needed to have fun with it.
To make this process as efficient as I could I sketched the ideas of the week at once and tested colors. (Even though sometimes I changed the whole thing last minute).

This allowed me the chance to test monochromatic palettes, color composition, different techniques, and brushes to have better outcomes and to avoid a instagram grid that looked all as the same boring thing.
1. Credit cards                       2. Being a mom & wife                       3. Always being the little girl
5. Work slave                               6. Taxes                               7. Choices
9. My birthday           10. Food and health            11. Deal with someone
13. Loosing the way                       14. Alone                      15. Live a war
17. Always employee                       18. Losing my inner child                       19. Legal Issues
21. Careless feedback                       22. Not feeling sexy                       23. Not being happy
_______
· To have an awesome and colorful project to show off.
· Conceptual Illustration, technique and color composition level up.
· Learned how to create little animations frame by frame.
· Developed characters to use later on in comics.
· I connected with so many people that felt the same way, and make my hearth full.
