Collaborating with Leucotron Telecom team to reimagined their phone terminals family.
Leucotron Orbit
Leucotron is a 30 year old Brazilian company located in the so-called Electronic Valley, a technology cluster in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, southern Minas Gerais state. Nowadays is recognised as one of the most import Brazilian players in both conventional and IP telephone systems, with an outstanding presence for all over Brazil and South America.
With new and strong competitors in the market, an 15 old product line in the portfolio and new technologies at its disposal, Leucotron had decided to become more competitive and launch a new product family by partnering withQuantum Design to design and develop its new family of telephone terminals.
That was our third project partnering with Leucotron. One year before, we had updated the Ision PABX products family where we defined an identity for the company's new products and also designed an internet router, the MultiAcess. But the Orbit was a completely new project. The goal was to present and incorporate through the design of the new a family of terminals all the quality and confidence that company has built over 30 years, and show to the costumers that the company is constantly updating in both behavior and technology.
As a result of this work, the new phones were launched in that year and they gave rise to other five telephone terminals plus the expansion module that is used in the Orbit.Go plus. The products still available
and being sold by Leucotron. The new identity and the design of the Orbit family terminals brought
automatically an increment of sales and market expansion across Brazil and South America.
