This was a photography project that asked us to take fewer than five photographs and match them to a theme. My concept was based around Dementia. I took portraits of my Grandmother who has advanced alzheimer's disease. My aim was to portray her in a way that celebrated the idea of long term memory rather than the loss of short term and her current memory.  High contrast lighting was an important aspect of this shoot as I really wanted the wrinkles and aged details to be overwhelmingly prevalent.
