The location of "The Little Mermaid" has inspired me with my dress design. I was interested in the contrast of the surface of the sea and the deep-sea world. I designed waterproof jackets and swimsuits to allude to this dualism - one separates you from the water, and the other connects you. My shape inspirations came from the spherical forms of sea creatures, while I chose water-clear foil for the material. Because of their transparency, I layered the pieces, which were printed using screen printing. Layered like this, they are reminiscent of my pattern collection. All sets have both the surface of the sea, and the world below.
