Audio & Run-of-Show

Audio & Run-of-Show

The project started with an already existing slideshow. The audio narration request was to be added to the slideshow educating a tech-savvy audience on Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek. The audience would access the video through the organization's website.

The project started with researching Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek, and information was assimilated to a run-of-show template created for the purpose of this project. After tweaking the run-of-show to fit within the time frame, sound effects were found and music located to create a historical environmental soundscape. The project was edited in GarageBand and recording using a Blue Snowball microphone.

Accomplishments

The run-of-show, traditionally used for broadcast or virtual learning, was an efficient means to script and storyboard the project. The recording levels selected and the talent's distance to the microphone provided an audio-rich narration of professional quality.
