TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek
a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change
attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world.

The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organisations and individuals
to spark  conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.

               Objective:

To art direct and revolutionise the identity and presence of  TEDxCambridgeUniversity 2017.
My challenge was to visually communicate the following questions that fracture from the conference’s
theme JUMPING OFF THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS

Do new ideas always build upon heritage and tradition? Or is breaking free of the paradigm the only way
               of achieving true innovation?
Are we destined to recombine what we already know know or can ideas be truly original?
The typographical relationship between Futura and Bodoni is one way which communicates these concepts.

               About TEDxSalons:
Salons are interactive mini-versions of the TEDxCambridgeUniversity main conference, where you get
the chance to fully engage with speakers and discuss Ideas Worth Spreading.

In 2017, for the first time, TEDxCambridgeUniversity ran Salon events as well as the main conference,
allowing more students to come together to hear influential speakers, meet and share ideas.
