The following project is the development of a instructional design training, which contains three media assets. The media assets include an infographic, a game presentation, and an instructional video. The project topic focused on diversity training for an intended audience of adult faculty and staff of a high school. The purpose of this project is to prepare and demonstrate the abilities of an instructional designer in a scenario that replicates a real-world experience. The learning outcomes of the diversity training are that all employees will be able to maintain or improve a culturally diverse workplace by:
a) Defining and describing discrimination in the workplace.
b) Identifying appropriate conversation for work-related settings.
c) Listing the advantages of a culturally diverse workplace.
d) Articulating the impact of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Equal Employment Opportunity Act.
Asset 1: Interactive Infographic
The infographic will support the learning outcome (d) where learners will be articulating the impact of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Equal Employment Opportunity Act.
Asset 2: Game presentation
The game presentation will support the learning outcome (b) of Identifying appropriate conversation for work-related settings.
Asset 3: Instructional Video
The instructional video will support two learning outcomes of the training. The first outcome (a) is to define and describe discrimination in the workplace. The second outcome (c) that will be supported is to list the advantages of a culturally diverse workplace.
