The manufacturer's need was a shoe dryer. My task was to design a device, proposing additional values, so that it could function as a piece of furniture not only in autumn and winter. After analyzing the problem and the user, I designed a seat that we can use every day when pulling shoes, and if necessary, connect to the electricity and use as a dryer.
The aim of the project was to give an intuitive form; service so banal to encourage children to take care of their shoes. On the one side, the stool has an ON / OFF switch, on the other a crank for winding the wire. The arrangement of the heating element located under the seat has been designed so that dirt or water does not accumulate there; oblique profiles and gaps between them make cleaning easier.
