After our work was showcased at the New Blood D&AD Awards in London, we were approached by a start-up luxury jewellery company - specialising in custom pearl designs - to essentially build their brand from the ground up, starting with their name, logo and colour concept.
We researched into various languages to discover the most suitable words that could be used for their brand name, using words that best described their goals for the company and the quality of their products. We concluded with a combination of both of their names, "Bacchano"; many high-end jewellery designers keep it simple by using their name.
Experimenting with the name and placing it into different logo designs was the most fun and challenging part of the entire project. The logo is the first design their clients will see and will ultimately make their decision on the brand within seconds based on this one visual. 

The jewellery designer uses both pearls and coloured diamonds in her pieces, so we ran with the shapes and structures of the diamonds and later used the pearls as colour influencers. The sharp edges and straight lines suggest sophistication and luxury; the muted colours keep it warm and simple.
