Welcome to the end of the internet, a glitching black void. Try not to get lost.
The End of the Internet is essentially the anti-internet. It is a purposely glitchy, dysfunctional void in which strange and unsetting media is scattered about.
The website is a slider design. You can slide down into the darkness for what seems like forever. Every once in a while images or gifs pop up, sometimes you can click on them, sometimes they react to the mouse, sometimes they make the whole page glitch… In creating the End of the Internet, I was interested in exploring the internet and our interaction with it. I wanted to strip the internet to its bare bones and inspire emotional reactions.
Think more in-depth about your relationship to the online world. If you feel uncomfortable, or afraid - you are meant to ask yourself why?
