THE INSPIRATION
The inspiration was born seeing the big presence of glass into big cities skyscrapers. It gives a sense of impalbability into heavy elements. This alternation is a reaserch of balance between opposite elements, of presence and unpresence, and try to underline the need to change point of view in everything and to find an armony.
STYLISTIC ELEMENTS
I decided to recreate this feeling trough the alternation between transparent stripes with other with very strong colors.
The skirt volume is made with a sovrapposition, as transparent layer becomes a filter of your eyes to make different the colored stripes below it.
The choose of stripes was for two reasons: first, their geometry gives a deeper sense of presence, of heavy, of rigid, instead to the transparent parts that are like a pleasant glaze; second, for a link with the skyscrapers inspiration, which floors are often made as they are horizontal stripes, particularly with an alternation between glass windows and structural parts.
