For this project, we worked with Ford to conceptualize an autonomous vehicle for their new campus, which is set to be complete in 2026. A vehicle for this campus has vastly different requirements and factors that play a role in the design, compared to a regular passenger vehicle. Factors such as short time spent in the vehicle, low speeds, a closed-loop system, and rush hour campus commutes. As well as taking these into account, creating a vehicle that improved the everyday lives of Ford employees was the main focus of this project.
