Volunteer Graphic Design

PRO BONO Graphic Design
since 2016
I've always wanted to do volunteering, but never did it until 2016, when a good friend who was super passionate about volunteering pointed me in the right direction. Thanks!
Centra and me
On my first meeting with the head of Volunteering at Centra, I presented myself as a graphic designer and offered my design skills to help in whichever way I could. Eager to help, where should I begin?

THE MAP
"- What do you need help with?"
"- A Map! A lot of our users and/or volunteers get lost on their way here..."

and that's where I started.
A5 size, easy to print
Even though I personally didn't experience any difficulty in arriving to Centra at Barkway Court, I am well aware that maybe the users and volunteers that need to arrive to Centra might not be as technology-friendly as I am. Having that in mind, I designed a simple map that could be easily printed.
As the map is intended for Users and Volunteers, it marks a suggested safe route through main well lit roads, with reference to the bus stops and tube stations nearby, as well as places where to stop for coffee, a bite or go groceries' shopping.
THE MAGAZINE

Volume is a magazine about Volunteering and the volunteers' work.
There had been five Volume editions already, when I was invited to help out as the art director.
