The visual guide to my International Studies major research project, Creating and Consuming Fukuoka: Ramen Odyssey Down Naka River, written during my exchange year abroad in the aforementioned city.

Intended to be read alongside my essay, this handmade Japanese stab bound volume is a curated record of my notes and observations of the social patterns and rhythms of the Nakasu-Kawabata intersection by Naka River ramen foodscape, where yatai food stalls light up the evening streets and head store of the Ichiran chain stands 12 storeys tall. It compiles collected ephemera, interview quotes, photographs and sketches made across a three month ethnographic observation period.

(Also comes with nifty tote bag and sweatshirt designs so that you can rock your love for ramen wherever you go)
