Journey of Innovation
APPLIED TECHNOLOGY CENTER CORRIDOR MURAL, VANCOUVER CAMPUS

Discovery, knowledge and innovation are the overall themes and inspiration for the mural design. Utilizing two sides of the glass, the imagery interacts on multiple levels, allowing viewers to unfold the story of how science, technology and engineering, or more specifically, nanotechnology impacts the everyday lives of people. Images describe the process of innovation that begin at the theoretical and molecular stages and move to the tangible, real life innovations and applications.

Due to the scale of the mural wall, the artwork cannot be seen in whole. As a result, the design allows viewers to feel a close connection with the art through personal interaction and their own discovery of the story as they move along the corridor and the images are revealed. The graphics are larger than life-size, making an impact on viewers not only from afar, but also up close.

Digitally printed graphics on frosted vinyl subsurface and applied cut-vinyl on face.
