A work in progress design and editorial layout for a research project conducted by
Assistant Professor AstridKensinger. The project was about Astrid’s carrying out a
series of endurance exercises, the results of which were documented by her research team.
The creative direction of the book was based on representing data with graphical elements. Lines
and gestures were used to show the mechanics of each task she performed in a dynamic way.
Quotes from famous endurance athletes were also included to express her emotional state of
mind, with typography incorporated to accentuate their meanings.
