Studio Pacific Architecture is unique, bold, sophisticated and that is what I was hoping to convey throughout this book design. The orange is taken from their already existing colour scheme, the colour is powerful, dominating and uplifting. It has been applied in places to create hierarchy and interest throughout the publication. I've decided to juxtapose this with the black to create a high contrast as well as giving the overall feel of luxury, masculinity and class. The gird system has an obvious horizontal alignment, this is to show the clean and structural approach Studio Pacific Architecture has. Each part that introduces a new building has a large image on the left for impact and emphasise the substantial qualities of the architecture. The cover design also address the experimental qualities of the architecture by using an abstract font and has been kept in full black. I had considered having the title in orange however I felt that it distracted from the contrast between the glossy ink and the matte card it's printed on.
