Glowing Armband

Research Plate, investigating the definition of visibility and the basic functioning mechanisms of the human eye
Compilation of initial concept sketches, exploring possible forms, patterns, and body parts to be involved in the intended product.
Early sketch models made of lightweight muslin, jute twine, and phosphorescent tape for investigating form and rudimentary function.
Iterative sketch models investigating patterns and layouts of the phosphorescent material, as well as fitting in terms of how the fabric is cut.
Iterative sketches exploring different methods and approaches to wearability on a person's upper arm.  Also investigated are decorative and/or functional shapes and patterns for the intended glowing part.
 Lightbox Prototype
Lightbox Prototype- testing UV LEDs against fluorescence coating
Iterative sketches for developing the functionality of the product.  Pictured are the required electronic components and material choices (for example, Velcro) for the final working prototype.
