Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
I decided to illustrate and redesign one of my favourite books, "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones. After a lengthy research of style, fashion architecture, etc. of the period that the book is set, I did some art development drawings for selected chapters. The plan was to have 72 illustrations, one every four pages and a title illustration for each chapter. I wanted to create a dreamy atmosphere, as this is a fairytale with lots of magic and visually compelling descriptions of imaginary places. This project is on hiatus for now, as I have no free time to finish it.
