A little taste of Easter Island.
Although a tiny speck in the Pacific, Easter Island looms large in the imagination and I now see why. I only saw a fraction of what there was to see, but I came away with some beautiful images. The pictures take themselves. IT's an incredibly varied landscape, I was hoping to give that sense.
The Quarry. This is the mountain from which all the Maoi (head statues) are carved. If you look carefully, on the lower left hand slope you can see the unfinished and untransported Maoi sticking out of the ground.
