Story about looms... videoart

Weaving is a ritual, it’s pure magic. Hypnotic work on looms is an element of traditional culture, which serves as so many inspirations. Unique crafts from polish and belarussian folk art are mostly handmade. Little fashion brand from Poland made a film essay about ritual of weaving.

Creating a traditional fabric is a difficult task, equiring patience and perseverance, it is almost like prayer. It’s a longterm process, often connected with traditional white signing during it. The fencing of one fabric meter of cloth beam means several dozen hours spent at the looms. It’s a dying ritual, because old weavers are going past away and not many of young girls in Poland want to learn how to do it, how to cultivate this beautifull tradition.
