Exygy – Core Values posters (concept)

This is a concept project, having never been made into final art.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

By the beginning of 2016 I was approached by an Exygy team member asking me to create a series of calligraphic posters with the company's core values. The idea was to work with simple lettering and icons that illustrate not only the sentences it-selves but also the essence of living in San Francisco. She then provided me six sentences that are Exygy's core values, which are:

"To empower changemakers with technology that improves lives"
"Pursue excelence"
"Learn and grow"
"Invite the whole person"
"Spirit of generosity"
"Lean into fear"

CONCEPT

The real challenge wasn't calligraphy-wise, but what icons would best capture what San Francisco is all about and how its people perceive it. Looking up on the internet wasn't enough to understand what moves this city, I needed to live it!

The project was put on hiatus. Many months later I finally traveled to San Francisco. Spending ten days in the city made me realize that San Francisco is not about its landmarks – like the internet says – it's all about its people. Everyone is kind, respectful and have a sense of community. In San Francisco, people care about changing things for the better.
