CENTRO CLARO
UFM (2009)
An urban intervention in the deteriorated district of Santa Clara in Guatemala City. The proposal aims to promote diversity of activities and spaces for reactivating the district.
The building complex incorporates living, working, cultural, and educational space as well as part of the headquarters of a local communications company. The design strategy focused in improving urban qualities inside and outside the project. Several studies of massing were developed in order to acquire a good source of natural lighting and ventilation, and to create spaces with different qualities to address different activities that will give the project the urban life it seeks.
