O Festival Porto-Alegrense de Bandas Instrumentais tem por objetivo promover, reunir e integrar projetos musicais instrumentais e independentes. O projeto surge em 2012 como uma iniciativa para fomentar o diálogo na cena instrumental independente, apostando na diversidade de estilos musicais, do Fusion ao Post-Rock. Em 2016, chega a sua 2ª edição, com o intuito de oferecer uma amostra das iniciativas musicais de todo o estado do Rio Grande do Sul.

The Festival Porto-Alegrense de Bandas Instrumentais aims to promote, gather and integrate instrumental and independent musical projects. The project emerges in 2012 as an initiative to foster dialogue in the independent instrumental scene, focusing on the diversity of musical styles, from Fusion to Post-Rock. In 2016, it reaches its 2rd edition, in order to offer a sample of musical initiatives from all over the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
