Lack of monument is also a monument - to citizens attitude and about current state of affairs. Instead of physical structure - which is (still) statement and answer, this Installation is number of questions - what is role of hero in modern society; what is difference between heroes and idols; who is hero enough to gain this vacant postament full of significance and ideological potential; is there any (proper); how will s/he help in reconciliation with past and defining future; whether we need one at all? Also, important issues tackled are presence/absence of memorials in public space and how they influence everyday life? Site- specific Installation consists of one powerful Searchlight placed on emptied postament. It is active whole day, but fully noticeable and appreciated during dark of night, between sunset and sunrise. Searchlight shines and rotates its head around, lighting streets around, trees behind, facades and everything it can reach in search for Future Hero. It emphasizes lack of plain and clear solutions, and need to see things in different light.
