A year ago today we lost one of the greatest artists to have ever lived. From his music to his visuals, he was never the one to shy away from doing something a little different, and a little controversial. Prince Rogers Nelson was, and forever will be an icon and an inspiration for artists; past, present, and future.

Prince's music has always been a part of my life, and as I grew up I learned more about him. He has inspired me in many ways over the years and last year, on what would have been his 58th birthday, I released a tribute dance mix to celebrate his gift of music to the world. This year, on the one year anniversary of his passing, I decided to create a piece that celebrates his visual artistry.

"LoveSymbol" is a combination of Prince's iconic (and unpronounceable) symbol and my newest "DJB0Y3000" logo. Prince always put an extensive amount of thought into the pieces he created, and so do I. Although the message may not be easy to understand right off the bat, the message is still there.

Diamonds are forever, and pearls are precious gifts from an unexpected place.

Thank you for everything, Prince. Rest in Paradise.
