Tired
A photo essay on tired souls sleeping in all sorts uncomfortable places.
I hate the word "Labourer", but that's what these guys are referred to, and to be honest manual labour is their trade at least for now. These guys work mostly around Dubai Creek, loading and unloading all sorts of cargo with their bare hands and on their backs.

I've been watching these guys for years sleeping in all sorts of uncomfortable places so I decided to document it, not sure why though… I guess better understanding and perhaps a bit more respect would go a long way.

Most people who are new to Dubai and people who've never been here perhaps wouldn't have seen these kind of photos much, but regardless of how modern and successful, Dubai is just like any other city, we have lots of low-income folks as well who struggle to make ends meet, it's a global issue and Dubai is no different.

I have to emphasise one thing though, these guys are NOT homeless, if they sleep like that then its out of choice and convenience, they all have housing facilities of some sort but they usually are too far to travel back and forth after a late night shift, it just seems convenient to crash at work place with your other mates for an early start.

Authorities in Dubai don't tolerate people sleeping on park benches or in public places but they seem to understand the situation these guys face.
